Package of Practices and Publication

Publications of an organization are an asset that enables the Institute and authors to gain recognition and acknowledgement as experts in a particular field at both national and international levels. Publication in peer-reviewed journals also gives international recognition for an individual, department, institutions and university. In some cases where a topic of major global importance is included in a publication, the author's country, and even the region, also gets a greater recognition. If the results of research studies or program documentations are not published other researchers cannot appreciate the value of the evidence generated or evidence further build on it, and overall science cannot develop and grow. Articles published in peer reviewed journals are likely to remain a very important means of distributing research findings for the foreseeable future. In order to create awareness about importance of publications among the faculty, research scholars and students, a Package of Practices, Publication and Patent Cell is formed with the following objectives

Objectives:

  1.  To motivate faculty, research scholars and students to publish their research work in high NAAS rating and high impact factor Journals.
  2.  To guide faculty, research scholars and students about how to write good research and review paper along with winning proposals.
  3.  To document different package of practices developed and patent (if any) at university level since inception.

The main activities of the cell include:

  • To arrange sensitisation workshops (targeting individual unit) for   faculty and research scholars to create awareness to publish the quality research papers and how to write a winning research projects.
  • To guide faculty and research scholars about how to avail various prototype development grants from various platforms.
  • Collaboration with ICAR-National Academy of Agricultural Research Management (NAARM), Hyderabad will be made to guide MPUAT faculty in all aspects of quality publications.
  • Reviewing and publishing  the package of practices.
